Adrienne leapt onto the train as it started to race away. This was going to end here and now she told herself. She was tired of this pursuit and would finish it before the night was over. As she got herself settled, she knew she had to find a seat and catch her breath. The train seemed full even so late at night. While keeping her eye on the far cabin ahead of her, she crept silently over to an empty chair towards the front. She knew he was there, just in the next cabin ahead. She had briefly seen his smile across the crowded station warm towards her…as if he remembered her in some way. And then like a flash, he hurried to catch the train. And she followed.
Since learning the truth a few weeks ago, knowing him was all she could think about. What were his circumstances? His reasons? But her griping fear of the unknown often kept her away each time she had had the chance to meet him. Once, she was close in approaching him when he was just outside the local bank. Even then, she stared at him too long, admiring his brown eyes to see how they matched her own. Finally, as she got the courage to move closer, he caught her eye, looked away anxiously, and seemed to disappear all too quickly from her view. Even more since then, she longed to understand the stranger that the adoption records showed to be her biological father.
Now, her heart beat even faster, knowing that he was just footsteps away, with nowhere to run as the train sped to its next destination. Adrienne started to get up as he unexpectedly walked thru the doors of the cabin, with only his brown eyes showing. And with one swift motion, he stood tall & pulled a gun up to entire cabin of passengers coldly exclaiming “Please empty your pockets ladies and gentlemen…this is a hold up. Especially you, Princess” smiling broadly at Adrienne.
I adore looking at and I think this website got some really utilitarian stuff on it!
