Back from vacation! The thing is, nothing is better than home. No vacation. No voyage. No elaborate journey. No Getaway compares to home! Home is brilliant and comfortable and soothing and fantastic. Home is where the heart is most alive after the whole family has been traveling with you. The simplest things suddenly awaken an excitement again. I yearn and look forward to coming home and unpacking,picking up new groceries, and sleeping in my own bed. I relish cooking in my own kitchen and playing in the backyard with my dog. I crave my quiet days alone when everyone else is away so that I can breathe, and think, and write. Home, in itself, is a quiet ecstasy that doesn’t come to life until we fully appreciate it!
Love your vacations….but I guarantee….coming home is just as amazing.
